Paweł Kossecki, together with Mariusz Przybylik and Magdalena Tecław, presented a paper at the international symposium "Rethinking Economic Models: Sustainability, Finance, and Accounting in Times of Transformation," organized by the Bucharest University of Economic Studies and the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences: ''Divergent Paths to Sustainability: A Comparative Study of Polish and German Prosumers.'' Are current economic models prepared for the challenges posed by climate change, technological transformation, and growing expectations regarding corporate responsibility?

This was one of the key questions at the center of discussions during this year’s symposium.
The event’s program focused on a critical analysis of contemporary economic models and their ability to address the challenges of sustainable development. Among the key topics were innovative financing mechanisms, such as green bonds, and solutions supporting the development of a circular economy.
Changes in corporate accounting and reporting were also a key area of discussion. Integrated reporting and ESG indicators are gaining increasing importance, as they allow organizations to be viewed not only through the lens of financial results but also in terms of their impact on the environment and society.
